Delivery of medicine, medical supplies, vaccines and LPG Gas for Cycle 5 is ongoing. The Districts which fall within the Zones of 1,2, 3 and 4 have received supplies. Districts of Zone 5 will receive supplies within the next one week. Cycle 6 supplies will be delivered within the months of May and June to all the respective Zones.

The delivery of Cycle 5 medical supplies is ongoing and the Districts within Zone 1 and 2 have received supplies. Delivery to Zone 3 is ongoing and should be finalized within the last week of March 2015. Subsequent deliveries to Zone 4 and 5 will be done within the first two weeks of April.
Stakeholders talked to recently in the Districts of Jinja, Luwero, Mukono and Kalungu greatly appreciate the improvement in services but above all the timely deliveries being made by NMS.

Following a report that appeared in the Red Pepper newspaper on Saturday 21st, February 2015 about the oxygen crisis at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, NMS wishes to clarify on the following.
Mbarara Hospital is required to submit oxygen orders as and when the facility’s stock is depleting. When NMS receives the order usually through email, a truck is sent to Mulago Hospital Oxygen plant to collect the filled up cylinders with the specific quantities requested for and delivers them to the hospital stores.
When the driver gets there, exchange of empty cylinders is done by the stores personnel and the specific number of filled cylinders are handed over to him/her. Acknowledgement by issuance of a Goods Received Note (GRN) is signed by the stores personnel and a copy of the NMS delivery note is stamped as proof of receipt of the Oxygen. Below is a list of deliveries that NMS has made to the Hospital for the past four months;

Districts within Zone 4 are currently receiving their supplies while Zone 5 is expected to receive supplies by first week of March. Districts in each zone can be found here.

NMS Delivery Team offloading oxygen cylinders delivered to Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. These are Cycle 4 deliveries. Delivery of medicine and medical supplies for Cycle 4 begun with distribution to Regional Referral Hospitals in Eastern Uganda. These included Jinja, Soroti, Mbale and Moroto Hospitals. The Districts within Zone 1 (near east and Far East) should expect delivery within the month of January 2015. The Districts of Bududa, Manafwa, Butaleja and Tororo will be served second after the referral hospitals. The supplies include medicine, medical supplies, laboratory and vaccine supplies. Daily distribution updates will be done as per delivery schedule.
