What is Prequalification? Prequalification is a formal process through which NMS screens, evaluates, and approves suppliers based on their capability, experience, legal standing, and compliance with public procurement regulations. This ensures that only reliable and eligible vendors are invited to participate in restricted bidding processes during the contract period. Categories include: Pharmaceutical Suppliers, Transport & Logistics, ICT Equipment & Services, Office Supplies &Stationery, Civil Works & Building Maintenance, Printing & Branding Services and Consultancy Services.

How to Become a Prequalified Supplier The prequalification process is typically conducted every two (2) years. Interested suppliers are invited to apply through open advertisements published on: The NMS website The PPDA procurement portal Newspapers and official government channels To be considered for prequalification, applicants must: Meet eligibility criteria in the bid documents Submit all required certifications and licenses Demonstrate relevant past performance and capacity Comply with PPDA and NMS procurement regulations.

Important Notices

  • Being prequalified does not guarantee contract award, but it is required to participate in restricted bidding.
  • Vendors may be suspended or removed from the list if found non-compliant with procurement guidelines or performance expectations.
  • Updates to the list may occur during the prequalification cycle, and notifications will be published accordingly.
