The National Medical Stores (NMS) Rotary Club of Medical Stars hosted Mr Bagiire Vincent Waiswa, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a fellowship and presentation on Uganda’s position on the global stage, the opportunities presented by diplomacy and the role of professionals in advancing national development.
In his presentation titled “Uganda on the Global Stage: Diplomacy, Economic Opportunities and the Role of Professionals in Advancing National Development,” Mr Bagiire encouraged members to leverage their professional expertise and global networks to build partnerships, promote Uganda’s opportunities and contribute to community development.
During the engagement, NMS General Manager, Mr Moses Kamabare, presented Mr Bagiire with an ambassadorship pin, welcoming him as an ambassador for the Rotary Club of Medical Stars.
Launched in 2025, the Rotary Club of Medical Stars is the first-ever Rotary corporate chapter embedded within a Ugandan public health institution. This initiative reflects NMS’s commitment to community service, health outreach and staff-led philanthropy.
The Club, guided by NMS staff and supported by Rotary District 9213, brings together professionals keen on serving communities through coordinated projects. The club is actively shaping its identity, values, and engagement strategy.
