A new milestone in continental Health security

The Minister of Health, Dr. Chris Baryomunsi , on 27^th June 2026  officially opened the Continental Supply Chain Coordination Mechanism offices at the National Medical Stores in Kajjansi.

This will serve as a gateway of all medical logistics during emergency and humanitarian responses on the African Continent.

National Medical Stores and the strategic logistics hub in Entebbe are becoming critical regional assets, supporting the rapid movement of laboratory equipment, medicines, personal protective equipment, vaccines and other essential commodities.

These facilities will continue supporting Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other Member States, ensuring that lifesaving supplies reach frontline responders quickly and efficiently.
