On Friday, 7th March 2025, NMS received 2,278,000 doses of the malaria vaccine in a significant step towards combating malaria in Uganda.

The vaccines were handed over by the Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng at the NMS Headquarters in Kajjansi.

The vaccine will be introduced into the routine immunization schedule in April 2025 targeting children under 2 years of age.

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, NMS will ensure proper storage and distribution of the vaccines to districts with the highest malaria prevalence, prioritizing the most vulnerable communities.
